What Our Grads Say
Karolina KsiazekMacEwan - Nursing Program
"The teachers here at Centre High are great, they helped me achieve my goal to get into a post secondary school. The Career Centre provided me with the information I needed to get into the nursing program and because of their guidance and support I have been fully accepted into the nursing program at MacEwan".

21st Century Literacy a Focus at Centre High Campus
So what is 21st century education? And what will it look like at Centre High? It is bold. It breaks the mold. It is flexible, creative, challenging, and complex. It addresses a rapidly changing world filled with fantastic new problems as well as exciting new possibilities.
The new millennium was ushered in by a dramatic technological revolution. At Centre High we recognize that our students live in an increasingly diverse, globalized, and complex, media-saturated society. Today's kindergarteners will be retiring in the year 2067. We have no idea of what the world will look in five years, much less 60 years, yet at Centre High we are charged with preparing our students for life in that world.
At Centre High, our students are given opportunities in class to use 21st Century Literacy Skills to engage in, and problem solve, many emerging issues such as global warming, famine, poverty, health issues, a global population explosion and other environmental and social issues. These issues lead to a need for our students to be able to possess 21st Century skills to communicate, function and create change personally, socially, economically and politically on local, national and global levels. For Centre High students, the possibilities for becoming involved in their own learning using 21st Century Literacy skills are unlimited.
